Bollywood actor Rakul Preet Singh had filed a complaint in the Delhi High Court seeking urgent interim directions to restrain media coverage in connection to the ongoing drug probe after being questioned by NCB. On Thursday, according to the latest report, the Delhi High Court asked the Centre to inform if an action was taken against any Non- News Broadcasting Standards Authority (NBSA) channels. As per the report, the court that was hearing the complaint filed by Rakul Preet Singh wanted to know if the I&B the ministry took action and found if channels beyond the reach of NBSA have violated the Cable TV Networks Act and broadcasted content related to Rakul.

According to the report, the I&B ministry filed an affidavit, informing the court that NBSA has passed 10 orders in consideration of the complaint filed by Rakul. As per the report, the orders were related to the action taken by NBSA on news reports/ programmes telecasted by 13 TV channels.

Meanwhile, the court reviewed the status report. Justice Prathiba M Singh listed the matter for further hearing on May 20, said the report.  Talking about the application filed by Rakul Preet Singh, the petition filed by the actress sought directions until NCB does not complete its investigation and file an appropriate report before the court in the matter.
